New PhD student at MGMT - Yushu Li
Hi everyone!
My name is Yushu, and I am originally from China. I am very happy to have started my PhD journey at the Department of Management at Aarhus University this September, and I am excited to get to know both the department and the city over the next few years.
Before coming to Aarhus, I completed a double master’s degree in International Social and Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Global Social Policy at Fudan University in Shanghai. My academic background has given me a broad interest in how technological and societal changes influence people’s behaviour, perceptions, and everyday lives.
My PhD research examines digital and commercial innovativeness from the consumer perspective. Over the next three years, I will explore how consumers perceive and evaluate firm innovativeness, with a particular interest in digital technologies such as artificial intelligence. I hope my research can contribute to a better understanding of what innovation actually means from the perspective of the people who experience it as consumers.
Outside academia, I enjoy playing tennis, travelling, exploring new restaurants and cafés, and watching movies. Since this is also my first time living in Denmark, I am looking forward to discovering Aarhus and Danish life along the way.
I am very excited to be part of the department and look forward to meeting all of you. Feel free to stop by for a chat about research, tennis, food, travel, or anything else!😊
