MGMT PhD courses

The Department of Management (MGMT) offers 3 PhD courses on an annual basis:

  1. Qualitative Research Methods (5-10 ECTS)
  2. The Research Process and the Role of Theory in Business Research (5 ECTS)
  3. Applied Quantitative Methods for Management Research (5 ECTS)

As part of their PhD course work requirements, MGMT PhD students have to successfully complete the 3 courses (in course 1 min. 5 ECTS: module A (2.5 ECTS) + B, C or D (2.5 ECTS each)), preferably within the first year of their PhD enrolment. All courses are by default open to external PhD students; however, MGMT and BSS PhD students will be granted preferred access in case of overbooking.

Qualitative Research Methods - 2025

ECTS: 5 (basic module A: Introduction & Research Design: 2.5 ECTS + one of the three supplementary modules (B, C or D): 2.5 ECTS)
