We are delighted to announce that Nicole Siebold, Sonja Perkovic, Anne Odile Peschel and Christiane Marie Høvring have been appointed associate professors from 1 February 2024
Nicole Siebold is part of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit at SIM. Driven by her commitment to social entrepreneurship, Nicole’s research passion centers on better understanding how social entrepreneurs design and grow their organisations, scale impact, engage stakeholders, and navigate organisational and ethical challenges inherent in social entrepreneurial action. In her pursuit of understanding, Nicole employs qualitative approaches and conducts insider-outsider studies to gain profound insights into the dynamic processes by which social ventures create positive impact and pursue growth.
Sonja Perkovic is part of the Consumer Behaviour & Marketing Unit at SIM. Her research aims to understand how people make decisions and to help them make better ones. She draws on insights and methods from different domains, such as behavioural sciences, judgement and decision-making, and psychology, to acquire a more comprehensive understanding of the processes behind individual decisions. Her most recent research investigates how health-related hazards are perceived in terms of actual health risks, which is crucial for establishing effective risk communication strategies. This work attempts to contribute to theory, methodology, and practice by developing a new conceptual framework, new methods for measuring and correcting risk perceptions, and, as a result, new ways for improving health outcomes and lowering health-related expenses.

She enjoys employing innovative research settings, such as the metaverse and has been leading the development of the VR Retail Lab for the last years. Her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Retailing, Ecological Economics and Trends in Food Science and Technology.
