Sebastian Oelrich, Tünde Cserpes and Rahul Anand now associate professors
We are very pleased to announce that Sebastian Oelrich, Tünde Cserpes and Rahul Anand have been appointed associate professors from 1 April 2026
ODA: Sebastian has been a valued member of the ODA section for the past two years, and prior to that he was at TU Dresden. His research is multifaceted within managerial accounting, and spans areas such as organisational wrongdoing, management control, and non-financial accounting. Sebastian is a highly appreciated lecturer and he has contributed greatly to our accounting teaching. He is also a wonderful colleague.
SIM: Tünde has been at the department long enough to have moved offices five times. Her research develops a programme on how social market frictions shape careers and firm behaviour. Her work spans strategy, organisational theory, and entrepreneurship, and uses empirical settings such as criminal records, divorce, and post-startup unemployment to uncover the mechanisms linking events outside work to labour market outcomes. A defining feature of her research is access work, through which she builds unique datasets by negotiating her way into data that was previously off limits.
Rahul has been a member of the department since September 2020. His research bridges corporate strategy, international business, and corporate governance with a strong empirical focus on acquisitions, foreign divestments, board gender dynamics, and strategic decision making in crises.
Both Tünde and Rahul are adventurous and ambitious academics who are highly valued in their units and across the SIM section.
We are happy to celebrate all three promotions from assistant to associate professor and look forward with great excitement to all that lies ahead.
Congratulations to Sebastian, Tünde and Rahul!
