Ciao! My name is Michele, I’m from Italy, from a beautiful city in the north-east, Padova, which could be considered as an Italian Aarhus (except for the sea - we don’t have it).

Venice was the city where I had both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, and where I started my academic career. After almost 10 years there, here I am in Aarhus, my first time living in Denmark. Btw, thank you for the windy welcome.

My background is in international management, innovation and entrepreneurship, but in the last years I developed a genuine interest in urban regeneration topics.

That’s why I decided to continue my career with a PhD here in Aarhus merging management and urban regeneration, in particular studying the role of hybrid third places in the development of new forms of entrepreneurship.

Outside campus I am passionate about photography and arts, I do sport, and I relax a lot cooking while listening to music or podcasts.

Even if this is just my first week here, I already like a lot the city, especially the Latinkvarteret and the grassroots areas around the railway station.

I can't wait to meet all of you in the department. I’m in for a run, a walk, a drink, a movie, a museum, shopping or a match at the stadium.
