New PhD student at MGMT - Marita Cenev

Hi, my name is Marita. I am from Finland, but lived in Aarhus since August 2024. I earned my master's degree at Turku School of Economics in 2016, and spent several years working in the industry before making my way back to academia. My professional background is primarily in marketing and communications, with my most recent role focusing on investor relations communications, employer branding, and sustainability.

Pursuing a PhD had long been in the back of my mind, though a few years ago I did not quite imagine it would happen in Aarhus. But here I am, embracing the opportunity to delve into research focused on work well-being. I hope to generate insights that support organizations in fostering healthier work environments.

Outside of academia, my two-year-old daughter makes sure I stay grounded and ensures that life remains unpredictable. Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy escaping into nature, unrolling my yoga mat, and getting lost in good podcasts and audiobooks.
