New PhD student at MGMT - Liping Hu

Hello, everyone!

My name is Liping Hu, and I am from the south of China. It is my great honor to start my PhD at the Department of Management in September 2023. 

During the PhD, my research project will focus on the association of corporate ownership and environmental performance, especially for the comparison of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises. Although it has not been explored yet, a quantitative approach may be used to conduct the research. Besides, it will be based on a specific industry and investigate if there is a relationship between ownership and environmental performance, and how corporate ownership affects its environmental performance. My main supervisor is Anders Ryom Villadsen and my co-supervisor is Jakob Arnoldi.

I got my master's degrees in Public Administration from Copenhagen Business School and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, but I had never been to Denmark before, neither to the other European countries. Even though, I am happy to be part of Aarhus BSS, and want to say thanks to all my kind colleagues. 

Sometimes I may give you little reaction when you are talking to me, but that is because of my not mature oral English. However, I will always be carefully listening to you and I will try my best to practice. I like outdoor sports and can cook Chinese dishes. You are always welcome to call me at office 2628-414.
