New PhD student at MGMT - Jeanine Schweiker

Hej alle sammen 

My name is Jeanine and I come from Germany, near Stuttgart. I recently completed a master’s degree here at AU in Business Psychology and am beyond happy to call Aarhus my home for at least another three years. 

My interest in workplace psychology was sparked during my stay-abroad at the University of Winnipeg (Canada) as part of my bachelor’s degree in international business administration at the University of Bamberg. There, I was first introduced to the foundational literature on workplace mental health and organizational behaviour —an experience that strongly shaped my academic interests. 

In my PhD project, I focus on the phenomenon of leaders disclosing their mental health in the workplace. Hereby I am aiming to better understand the implications of leader mental health disclosure for employees and organizations, as well as provide guidance for leaders navigating the disclosure decision making process.

Outside of academia, I enjoy knitting, painting, and cooking. You might also find me at the local Havnebadet for an ice plunge or volunteering at Café Mellemfolk.
