Hi everyone!

My name is Cecilie, and I just started as one of the new PhD students. Some of you might already know me a little, as I've been working as a research assistant here at the department together with Iben Duvald and Børge Obel.

I hold a Master's degree in Anthropology from Aarhus University where my interest for organizational studies first took place. As a research assistant, this interest has only deepened through projects on organizational changes in hospitals during COVID-19 and cross-sector collaboration in Hospital-at-Home models.

In my PhD project, I qualitatively study how hospitals adapt across multiple organizational levels during large-scale reforms. More specifically, I look at how interdependencies between national, regional, hospital, and departmental levels shape the enactment of strategic goals in the hospitals. By exploring these interdependencies -  both formal and informal - I aim to contribute to organization design research on how complex, knowledge-intensive organizations manage adaptation when formal strategies meet the realities of practice.

Outside of work, I live in the hustle and bustle of Vestergade in Aarhus City Centre. I thoroughly enjoy having good coffee spots around the corner (to sustain my unhealthy habit), running into friends at the supermarket (for everyday updates on their loud neighbors), and being only a 10-minute walk from the cinema Øst for Paradis (to decompress with a touching, though probably also quite weird, indie movie of some sorts). Other than that, you'll find me on my balcony with a novel, on my feet around Brabrand Søerne, or on my dancing toes at a concert in the city. Like many, I love travelling, and my most recent trip was to Georgia where I hiked in the Caucasus Mountains and wandered around Tbilisi both aimlessly and with intent - 10/10 recommend.

I'm looking forward to meeting those of you I still haven't crossed paths with, and to building on my acquaintance with those I already know.
