External events targeted at alumni & companies

Criteria for events supported by Aarhus BSS Communications and External Relations:

  • The heads of the departments involved approve the theme of the externally targeted events. Planning should take into account any possible overlap between events targeting the same audiences.
  • Externally targeted events must be based on Aarhus BSS's positions of strength in the field of research and must support the school's brand.
  • The communication concerning the externally targeted events should emphasise the academic relevance for the target audience.
  • The aim is a 50/50 distribution, where at least 50 percent of the presentations are held by the school's own researchers, or in some cases supplemented by researchers from collaborating institutions.

If you have an idea for a large external event, please get in touch with Dennis Arnsbæk (dear@au.dk) or Susie Munk (susiemunk@au.dk) to discuss the content, date, marketing and various practicalities. They will contact Jacob Eskildsen, who is responsible for approving the event and place the event on an annual event schedule at a time when we have the room and the resources to hold the event. 

When the events are publicly available, registration must take place via the Aarhus BSS Sales Portal https://bss.au.dk/katalog/da/


Smaller and more department-specific events

As a rule, these events will be organised by the department. However, Aarhus BSS Communication and External Relations will help with the marketing. Please follow these instructions and always start with filling in the event sheet.
