New PhD student at MGMT - Mengchen Hu
Hi everyone,
My name is Mengchen Hu, and I have started my PhD at the Department of Management on September 1st, 2024. I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in psychology. I love playing sports and exploring different things.
I've always been curious about the attention process during decision-making process. Based on this interest, I will be working on the information avoidance when making a decision together with my main supervisor, Jacob Lund Orquin.
The main goal of my PhD project is to develop a more reliable measurement of information avoidance and to develop a deeper understanding of it, including how to reduce information avoidance from a product perspective. In terms of long-term career goals, I also hope to gain more research-related skills here.
