Title: "Marketers’ efforts for shaping superdiverse heritage narratives to rebuild from culture wars in post-apartheid South Africa"

Drawing lessons from marketers’ versus consumers’ visions of community building agendas, to identify lags in marketing’s institutional vision for representing and cultivating ‘lived multiculture’.


Lizette is a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategic Business Communication in the English department. Before she moved to Denmark at the beginning of 2022, she was a Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Northumbria University, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK. Before turning to academia, she was also a marketing practitioner working in South Africa and the UK. Her research interests take a transformative marketing approach, with a particular focus on the role of marketing in facilitating intercultural dialogue and convivial interaction in the marketplace. Furthermore, her research interests span investigation of a number of societal welfare strategies, ranging from emerging to established economies, digital vs traditional marketplaces, and CSR and consumer responses.
