New PhD student at MGMT - Lea Frida Christensen

Hi everyone!

My name is Lea, and I have started my PhD at the Department of Management, in the ODA section within the Management Accounting field.

Throughout my PhD I will be investigating how to utilize management accounting practices in the early phases of new product development. It’s a very new field within management accounting and my research will therefore be explorative of nature. I will have the pleasure of having Morten Jakobsen and Markus Brunner as my supervisors.

BSS is a very familiar place to me as I completed both my bachelor's and master's degrees here. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration in 2019 and my master’s degree in Management Accounting and Control in 2021. After my master’s degree I decided to work at Vestas for 2 years as a cost analyst and therefore have a lot of knowledge within the offshore wind industry.

I live with my husband, Francesc, and my dog, Preben, in a suburb just outside of Aarhus. In my free time I like to be a couch potato watching TV or reading a book, but I also like to lift heavy weights and go to spinning classes in fitness. In addition, I like to play board games, do puzzles and gaming.
