New PhD student at MGMT - Yanxin Lu
Hello everyone!
My name is Yanxin Lu (you can call me Nancy), and I come from Shandong, China. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Qingdao University and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Shandong Normal University. As of September 1st, I started as a PhD student at the Department of Management, and I am very excited to begin this new journey at MGMT.
My PhD project is titled Cognitive Biases and Power Structures in Shaping Fairness Perceptions at Work, supervised by Panagiots Mitkidis and Christian Truelsen Elbæk. With this project, I want to explore how organizational structures and individual cognitive processes interact in shaping perceptions of fairness at work. I am particularly interested in how hidden power relations and cognitive biases can affect employees’ sense of justice and equality, and how organizations can build fairer and more sustainable working environments.
Outside of academia, I really enjoy traveling and discovering new cultures, and I am always curious about trying different types of food. I am very happy to join the department and I look forward to getting to know all of you. You can find me in M2628-409, and I will be glad to connect over a coffee or a chat.
