Two new faculty members at MGMT

Keld Pedersen and Lars Kristian Hansen have taken up positions in the INEIS section at the Department of Management

On 1 October, Keld Pedersen took up a position as associate professor in the INEIS section at MGMT. Keld has a Master of Science (Computers) and a PhD (Information Systems), both from Aalborg University.
We are looking forward to harvest from his many years of practical experience as project manager and head of quality in larger IT development companies. Since 2009, Keld has been an associate professor at Center for IT management at Aalborg University where he was head of the Cand.IT study programme.
Kelds research interests are management of information systems in user organisations, especially benefit management and project portfolio management. The first assignment at MGMT will be to take over the IS development and Implementation MSc(IM) course from Bjarne and Nikolaus.

On 1 October, Lars Kristian Hansen joined the department as assistant professor. Lars will be a part of the Project Management Group in the INEIS section. He will work on rethinking project portfolio management and the Half Double project. This involves data collection in multiple organisations and a comprehensive review of the literature.
Lars has extensive experience with IT project and project portfolio management in practice. Latest, he has been employed as special adviser in the municipality of Copenhagen working with project portfolio management and has served as external lecturer at the IT University of Copenhagen. Lars holds a PhD in portfolio management of IT projects from Aalborg University’s Center for IS-management, Department of Political Science. His academic work has been published in Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research, Transforming Government: People, Process and Policy, International Journal of Information Technology Project Management and serval conference proceedings.
