New faculty members in the SFRN

Associate Professor Adam Gordon and Research Assistant Matthew Spaniol have joined the strategic foresight research network at MGMT

On 1 November, Associate Professor Adam Gordon, joined the strategic foresight research network (SFRN). Adam joins us with over 20 years of experience as a think-tank analyst, workshop facilitator and management consultant in the field of strategic foresight. He received his PhD in 2013 and has been publishing academic articles, the book “Future Savvy” and extensively in management press. Adam has also significant university and business school management experience, and particular experience in designing and delivering executive education. With his experience in executive education he will also contribute to the development of the portfolio of short and custom courses of Aarhus BSS.

On 1 October, Matthew Spaniol joined the strategic foresight research network (SFRN) to drive the PERISCOPE project which will deliver an industry foresight for the marine and maritime industry. Matt submitted his PhD dissertation at the end of September, titled “Scenario Planning in Practice: Empirical Philosophy, Social Foundation, Paradox, and Definitions”. In his thesis, he explored the intersection of Science and Technology Studies and Strategic Foresight. Out of his PhD research he has already published three journal articles. Matthew is an experienced facilitator and consultant in strategic foresight, most recently with Danske Maritime.
